Below listed are the general documents required by Embassy/Consulate to process your request for a Schengen Visa. But these requirements change as per the specific case and the type of applicant.

Original and Valid Passport of the applicant:

Schengen Visa applicant must possess a valid passport issued less than 10 years ago. It should be valid for at least 3 months beyond the date of return from EU Schengen area and should contain at least 2 blank pages as well. If the applicant is in the possession of any old passports, they should be presented along with copies of previous Visas.

Passport Size Photographs (45 mm X 35 mm):

Two Colored Passport size photograph taken on white plain background. The photograph should show all the facial characteristics of the applicant and should not be older than 3 months

British Residence Permit

British Residence Permit (Either stamped in the passport or in the form of biometric card) should be presented (Original as well as the copy and should have validity of 3 months from the return date)

• Hotel Accommodation:

Proofs of Hotel Accommodation are required to be submitted in order to assure the Embassy/Consulate that you have booked your accommodation for the duration of stay in Schengen area.

• Proof of Transportation:

Applicant is required to provide the proof of travel bookings in the form of flight/train/ferry/bus tickets or specific set of documents as required by the Consulate if the travel is via car.

• Proof of Income:

Proof of Income or Proof of Sufficient Personal means of Subsistence is required to ensure that an applicant can sustain his stay in Schengen area and is in possession of sufficient funds.

• Marriage Certificate:

Dependent Spouse of the UK National is required to submit Civil Marriage Certificate officially translated in English or French (if applicable).

• Insurance Requirements:

Medical and Travel insurance are required to pay for the emergency medical and repatriation expenses.
